Emmy sets her own styles for fashion. The night we took this picture I just asked her what she wanted to wear and she pointed to three pairs of pants. Only two would fit on her legs.

Mommy took Emmy out sledding in the snow, which Emmy really loved! She even had her own little track for inner tubing out in the backyard.

Little Emmy was all bundled up for the snow! After that day, she kept pointing outside, trying to tell us that she wanted to go out and play again!
We made gingerbread houses at Spokane one day. They are actually made of graham crackers, but they are still very fancy.

La Casa de Christian

Julia made this modest house, and I was her contractor. I made the front door and fashioned the chimney from a white chocolate Kit Kat. Note that this is a somewhat smaller house, which means that we didn’t have to go into debt for it like Julia’s sisters.

Here’s a close-up of the fanciest door on the block.

Christina’s mansion has a penguin for a snowman and a drafty roof. The path didn’t last long because it was too tasty.

Annah’s house includes an even draftier roof. She cheated by using some cardboard for the walls. It didn’t taste very good.

Emmy has a stylin’ outfit and some sweet Little People toys.
Downtown Spokane was the former host of the World’s Fair, and we like to visit some of the landmarks each year… the big giant wagon, the carousel, and the goat statue that sucks trash out of your hands. We didn’t take pictures of all of them this visit, but here are the block letters of Spokane and the Radio Flyer:

A week or so ago we made two new friends (and a dog). These friends were our snowman friends, and Emmy gave the baby one that Annah and Christina made a kiss.

Above are the snowmen and all the snowmen builders.

You’ll notice here that one snowman has a comb for a moustache.
A few days before we left, Mr. Snowman was leaning over toward the baby. The next day, he decided to take her out by falling onto her.
R.I.P., Mister and Baby Snowman, we barely knew ye…
