Grandpa’s Roses

Every year when the roses bloom at my parents house the girls get a picture with Grandpa in front of them.   Here are this years pics!

Emmy insisted that her baby be in the pictures also!

Fun with Grandpa!  You can really see the roses in this one!  They are really pretty!

Kaylee loves playing in the grass at my parents house!  They have a much bigger lawn than we do so she can run and jump!

Grandpa and Grandma Layman in front of the roses!

Preschool Graduation

Emmy finished her first year of preschool in May!  She does preschool through the public schools, which is great because she can receive all of her special services during the school day.  Right now she goes to speech, Occupational Therapy, and physical therapy.  The hope is that with early intervention she wont have to pulled out of Kindergarten that much.  She will probably have to do PT for awhile though.  She had a great year and loved all of her teachers!  She is already excited for next year!

Here’s daddy and Emmy singing some songs with Emmy’s class!

Here Emmy realizes that the rest of her fan base has arrived!  Hi Emmy!

Kaylee loves going to Emeline’s class because she gets to play with all the big kids!

Emmy taught Kaylee all the fun things she could do on the playground!

Here’s Emmy going up to get her diploma!  Ms. Schembri gave her the “I can do it by myself” award!  Anyone that know Emmy, knows that is the perfect award for her!

Afterward the whole class got to go to the park and have otterpops!  YUM YUM!  Congratulations Emmy!  We are so proud of you!

Great Grandpa and Grandma Layman

Just before school ended we had a chance to go up to my Grandparents’ house!  My dad bought me and the girls plane tickets for mothers day so that my Grandpa could meet Kaylee!  My mom went with me to help with the girls and we all had a great trip!

Here is a pic of Grandpa meeting Kaylee!

Emmy had been to Oregon twice already so she kept telling Kaylee all the fun stuff they could do!

We finally convinced Kaylee to stand still for a picture!  Emmy and Kaylee are my Grandpa’s only great grandchildren so far!

Here’s a pic of all of us out in the yard!  Their driveway makes a loop and Kaylee had a great time running around it while Emmy would ride around it with Grandpa on his scooter!

This is their dog Pudge!  Kaylee and Emmy both loved her!  We just had to keep our eye on Kaylee so that she didn’t try to ride her like a horse! 🙂

One of the stores we went to had these car carts to ride in!  Emmy asked to go back everyday so that she could ride in the little car!

Beep beep!

Emmy and Grandma posed while I tested out my camera!  These pics came out really cute 🙂

Kaylee wants in on the picture action!

What a sweetheart!

Kaylee had to sleep in our pack n’ play and was very jealous that Emmy got to sleep in the big bed!  So every morning Kaylee would take a turn in the bed too!

The girls had so much fun while we were there that they needed a little break!  They were really excited that my grandparents had the Disney channel.  Somehow it is even more fun to watch Mickey Mouse away from home!

Kaylee gets done with her break and is ready to have some more fun!  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for a great trip!  We are really glad we could come and visit!

Dance recital!

My friend Melissa taught a dance class for 3 year olds at church!  Emmy loves to dance and get dressed up!  She was a little reluctant about class at first but she ended up having a great time with all her friends!  Here she is at her recital!

Waiting in the wings for the show to start!

The ballerinas enter the stage!

Twirls!  Is she not the cutest ballerina you’ve ever seen?? (I’m totally unbiased!)

Shake your hips!

And take a bow!!

Great job girls!  We love you Emeline!

Dressing up and moving out!

Emeline would get pretty bored while I was packing our house up for the move!  Here are some pics of her dressing up one day while I was packing!

Pink Fairy costume!

Tinkerbell herself!!

Kissing her butterfly wand!

And my personal favorite…This is a hybrid of cinderella, tinkerbell and the Thing from fantastic 4!!  Thinkerella or Cinkerbelling…you pick!  What a crazy girl!

Spring Break!!

Here are some pictures from Spring Break!!

So the trouble with being so behind on our blog is that I forget so many of the details.  Like in these pics I kept wondering “Why don’t I have any pics of the girl’s in church dresses?” and “how did we have time to do an easter egg hunt before church?”  Then I remembered that it was General Conference that weekend!!  It was really nice to listen to the prophet on Easter and spend time with family!

Kaylee did great for her first Easter Egg hunt!  (It was really her 2nd but she wasn’t mobile for her first so it was a whole new ballgame!)

Emmy finds a stash next to the bookshelf!

Kaylee and Emmy enjoy their findings!

Kaylee kept eating her candy with the wrappers on so we really had to watch her!  Foil, Yum!

My mom’s b-day was the day after Easter so we had a party for her!!  Emmy decorated her cake with M&M’s!! I forgot to get a close-up picture but it was great!  Good work Emeline and Happy Bday Grandma!!

Christina got to visit for part of Spring Break and we took her on a hike up to the natural arch.  We missed the arch turnoff but we found a great trail anyway!  The only problem was that it was only supposed to be a 2 mile hike and we ended up doing around 8 miles!  Oops!

Kaylee trying to be like Aunt Christina!

The view was apparently hair raising!

Kaylee stole my little stick so I got a bigger one!

Grandpa!!

Daddy!!

Christina didn’t have on the best shoes (since we told her it would only be 2 miles)!! Ouch!
