Emmy Knows Triangles

This weekend Emmy learned all about triangles from an episode of Sesame Street. We watched some parts of it many, many times, but mostly because I thought they were funny. As a result, she can now identify a triangle from a bunch of other shapes.

And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for (the best part of the episode): James Blunt singing “My Triangle”, a parody of his song “You’re Beautiful”. Hilarious.

Well, the day has finally come! Emmy got a new car seat today at Wal-mart. We didn’t have a chance to put it in the car, but we got it all adjusted inside and she watched an episode of Sesame Street while sitting in it, munching on Cheerioes from her snack chair.

After Sesame Street was over, she used the chair as a climbing gym. Let’s just hope she’s as excited for it in the car as she is indoors!

Fun in the Snow

Mommy took Emmy out sledding in the snow, which Emmy really loved! She even had her own little track for inner tubing out in the backyard.

Little Emmy was all bundled up for the snow! After that day, she kept pointing outside, trying to tell us that she wanted to go out and play again!

Gingerbread Row

We made gingerbread houses at Spokane one day. They are actually made of graham crackers, but they are still very fancy.

La Casa de Christian

Julia made this modest house, and I was her contractor. I made the front door and fashioned the chimney from a white chocolate Kit Kat. Note that this is a somewhat smaller house, which means that we didn’t have to go into debt for it like Julia’s sisters.

Here’s a close-up of the fanciest door on the block.

Christina’s mansion has a penguin for a snowman and a drafty roof. The path didn’t last long because it was too tasty.

Annah’s house includes an even draftier roof. She cheated by using some cardboard for the walls. It didn’t taste very good.
