Alex has this cake every birthday, valentine’s day, father’s day, and on our anniversary.  Either he really likes it or I’m just not very creative!  Probably both!

Christina and Emmy helped me make the enchiladas the bday dinner.  We used Alex’s Aunt Julie’s recipe.  They are so good!

Emmy’s Curly Hair

So it seems that Emmy has inherited some curly here from somewhere (her dad, obviously). She loves getting her hair done, though – especially for church. Maybe that’s because she’s making some good (boy) friends in her nursery class?

Emmy vs. Mario Kart

All About Emmy

We just got Mario Kart this weekend (a delayed Father’s Day present, but it was only delayed because nobody had it in stock anywhere), and Emmy seems to enjoy it. Several times over the past two days she has brought the Wii Wheel controllers to us and asked us to play with her. Sometimes she even likes to play the game – she doesn’t quite have it mastered yet, but it is still our first weekend with the game. Here’s a video that shows a typical session with Emmy.

Emmy got some more practice walking today! She’s doing pretty well, especially if she gets lots of good feedback. Today she did really well both at the park and when we played charades afterward. Check it out!

One of Emmy’s Uncle Christian’s favorite games is charades. While we were playing tonight, Emmy decided that she wanted to act one out, too. It’s anyone’s guess as to what movie she’s acting out. Here’s the video:
